Introduction to Mindfulness as a day-to-day practice.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Dates: Apr- May, 2027
Schedule: Mondays, 19-21h
Duration: 8 consecutive sessions
Location: Lisbon Buddhist Center, Dojo Room @ Agora Lisboa – Rua Rafael de Andrade, 23 - 2E

WHO IS IT FOR?

The course is open to practitioners of all levels. You don’t need previous meditation experience, only an interest in exploring what it might mean to live a little more fully and attentively.

The aim is not simply to learn about mindfulness, but to discover what it is through our own experience.

After the course, you’ll also be able to continue your practice through our regular guided meditation classes and explore Buddhist study at Agora.

CONTENT OF THE COURSE

What would it mean to live with more attention?

Not just to meditate for a few minutes, but to bring mindfulness into the way we experience our everyday life, our relationships, the world around us, and ourselves.

In this 8-week course, we will explore four dimensions of mindfulness: day-to-day life, nature and art, our relationship with others, and mindfulness as a path towards insight.

Through meditation, reflection and direct experience, we will explore:

→ mindfulness of the body
→ mindfulness of feelings
→ awareness of the mind and heart
→ mindfulness of breathing (Anapanasati)
→ appreciation as a way of life
→ mindfulness of others
→ cultivating insight
→ ways of developing a sustainable mindfulness practice in everyday life

PRICE

Full Course:

Meditation, Mindfulness & Buddhism Study Program

We offer a progressive, practical, and non-dogmatic exploration of meditation, mindfulness, and Buddhist philosophy. Open to all, regardless of background, beliefs, or prior experience.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our study program is structured into six modules, each focusing on different aspects of practice. Each courses can be taken independently, though we recommend pairing them with one or more weekly guided meditation sessions to deepen learning and integration. Our intention is to help develop an integrated, progressive mental training at every level of experience, using tools from Mindfulness and Buddhism that can be incorporated into everyday life.
