General
We are located in central Lisbon at Rua Rafael de Andrade, 23, 2nd floor, near Intendente metro station.Please arrive 10 minutes before class, but not more than 15 minutes early (a previous class may still be finishing).Ring the bell and wait — the teacher may be unavailable for a minute, so please avoid ringing repeatedly.
Please book your class on our Bsport platform, where the schedule is always updated.You will need to create a student account and choose a product (trial class, drop-in, or class pass).If you’re unsure which pass to choose, book a trial class and speak with the teacher afterward for guidance.Please arrive 10 minutes before class, but not earlier than 15 minutes.Late arrivals cannot be admitted; please refrain from ringing the bell once class has begun.You may cancel a booking up to 12hours before class through your Bsport account. After that time, the class is charged.
You can pay online through Bsport or on-site (cash preferred; the studio does not accept credit cards).For special events, workshops, and retreats, payment can be made via bank transfer. Ask us for bank details / MBWay / PayPal.

The yearly membership (€20) gives access to discounts on class passes, events, therapies, and osteopathy. Monthly passes are available only to members.A 10-class card is valid for 4 months. It can be frozen once, for up to 1 month, in case of travel or injury.All monthly passes are valid for 30 days from the date of your first class.Class passes are non-refundable, nominative, and individual. However, if you move away or can no longer practice, you may transfer your pass to another student.If our pricing is a barrier, please contact us at info@agora-lisboa.com.
You may cancel your class up to 12 hours before the start time.Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged and deducted from your pass.
Most classes are taught in English.Sonia’s morning Mysore program is taught in English, Portuguese, and French.Private sessions are available in Portuguese, French, Spanish, and English.
Yes. Email info@agora-lisboa.com with your name, NIF (if applicable), address, and the purchase to be invoiced.
Material is provided free of charge: mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, zafus, and meditation chairs.You may bring your own mat if preferred.Please clean studio mats after use.Bring a towel for dynamic yoga classes.We provide a mixed-gender changing room.Wear comfortable clothes: sportswear for yoga; loose clothing for meditation (avoid jeans or tight leggings).
Yoga Shala: Ashtanga (guided & Mysore), Vinyasa, Yin Yoga.Meditation Dojo: Guided meditations inspired by Japanese and Tibetan traditions (samatha & vipassana), including body, breath, and mind awareness, and visualization practices.Tuesday evenings include group exercises to support community learning.Sunday morning meditation follows a Zazen-inspired silent format (two sessions of 20–25 minutes).Full class descriptions are available by clicking each class in the Bsport calendar.

Absolutely. Yoga and meditation are adaptable to most physical conditions.Teachers offer modifications and props (blocks, straps, chairs).Breath, stability, focus, and intention matter far more than physical ability.Regular practice naturally builds flexibility, strength, and endurance.
Meditation and Yin/Restorative classes are suitable throughout pregnancy (inform the teacher beforehand).For dynamic practices (Ashtanga, Vinyasa):If you practiced before pregnancy, you may resume after the first trimester.If you are new to yoga, a Prenatal Yoga class (private or group) is recommended.We currently do not offer a regular prenatal group class — but ask us, as this may change.Always follow your doctor’s advice for contraindications.
Yes. The Wednesday Meditation (17:30–18:30) is offered online. You will receive the link after booking.
A Buddhist ritual space including chanting, dharma recitations, poetry, and music — a symbolic and imaginative collective practice.It is open to all and donation-based.
A study group reserved for Sangha members — students deeply engaged in Buddhist practice and philosophy.Contact us for more information.
Private one-on-one or semi-private sessions can be tailored for beginners, experienced practitioners, or specific conditions.To book a private yoga or meditation class, email info@agora-lisboa.com.
Yoga: Practice on an empty stomach (2–3 hours after a meal). Avoid drinking during class.Meditation: Avoid heavy meals immediately beforehand.
Showers are available only for morning Mysore practitioners (bring your own towel).Keep the building door closed; leave shoes by the entrance.Yoga Shala and Meditation Dojo are digital-free zones; phones off and left in the changing room.Keep noise to a minimum in corridors.Regular Mysore practitioners (3×/week or more) may leave their mat on-site.Lost & found items are cleared periodically; unclaimed items may be donated.

Our teaching team is small and composed of active members of the Agora community.We do not rent space for weekly classes — only occasional events (max. once per month).For event rentals, see section 22.
